  1. Move On

Move on is a journey. In a similar fashion to Bartop Brawl, this was written early on in our time as a band. The song had been through many changes and, much like any journey, came to its conclusion as you hear it on the record. Lyrically, this song is a story about breaking away from your past to create a brighter future. The dynamic musical accompaniment tells a story of its own, portraying the ups and downs of moving on.

Featuring a scorching duel guitar solo, Move On rounds out the high-octane rock n' roll that Black Hat has solidified as their sound by the end of the EP.

Lyrics

Fell all the way down to the bottom
When something crept behind me again
Allowed the world to change my mind
Like a good samaritan
Compliant in disbelief
Rearranged in disarray
The truth spreads like wildfire
Down San Francisco Bay

I'll move on,
I'll move on up
I'll move on
I'll move on up all over again

Overstayed my welcome
Overstated my love
Let the rain wash away
The soil that I'm from

I'll move on
I'll move on move on
I'll move on
I'll move on up all over again

For the grounds that I've stomped
Left a hole in my chest
Now there's no turning back
For the things I regret
I'll move on over the hills and far away
You know that every dog will have its day
Can I get away from the state that I'm in
I'll move on up all over again

I'll move on
I'll move on move on move on
I'll move on
